In 2025, I commenced the Chancellor Indigenous Research Fellowship at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), where I will develop a community-focused master plan study for Indigenous and marginalised peoples. My journey in this field has been marked by collaboration and shared goals. Previously, I served as the Indigenous Research Engagement Coordinator, during which I evaluated the university's efforts to support Indigenous Research. This includes Research conducted by Indigenous scholars, Research collaboration with Indigenous communities, and studies focused on Indigenous topics. My role involved working across various university departments, faculties, and institutes to map the current state, assess needs, and propose future strategies for enhancing support for Indigenous Research and researchers.

My research interests centre on home ownership among Indigenous peoples and developing the master plan for Indigenous and marginalised communities in Australia. My work aims to bring about lasting change. I completed a PhD that examined the Indigenous voice and the impact of infrastructure development on their lands, utilising the public-private partnership model. This has provided me with a strong foundation and the ability to engage effectively with communities across Australia. Additionally, in 2023, I completed a Churchill Fellowship, which allowed me to establish strong relationships with universities in North America and Canada.

I am also a member of the TIISHA Research Group, which plays a significant role because of my knowledge of planning and cultural connection to communities. The group evaluates government and community projects in remote First Nation communities.
