Alix completed her PhD investigating the link between sleep and cognition in older adults with and without depression in 2014 at the University of Western Australia. During this time she worked as a Sleep Scientist part-time at the West Australian Sleep Disorders Research Intitute (WASDRI). Alix started her first postdoctoral research fellow position at Monash University in 2016. She was Project Director of a large randomised controlled trial investigating partner-assisted interventions for insomnia. This is where her passion for clinical research began. She recently commenced her second research fellow position researching insomnia and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Alix is also completing her Master of Psychology part-time.
