Alice was an undergraduate at University of Cardiff and the University of Oxford, where she completed an an MSt in Gender and Sexuality Studies, before gaining a PhD in Film Studies at Queen Mary, University of London.
Prior to joining the University of Warwick she was a Teaching Fellow in Film Studies at Queen Mary, University of London and taught in schools and Sixth Forms in London and the South East.
Her published work explores the intersections of girlhood, dance and popular music in contemporary cinema. Her first monograph, The Dancing Girl in Contemporary Cinema, will be published with Edinburgh University Press in 2026.
