Ali Zoghi is a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton University, supervised by Dr. Jennifer Drake. His doctoral research uses coupled 1D–2D hydrodynamic modelling (PCSWMM) to evaluate green, grey, and hybrid stormwater infrastructure for urban flood mitigation across contrasting Canadian catchments in Ottawa and Vancouver, incorporating continuous simulation and evapotranspiration to capture flood response across sequences of storms rather than single design events.
