Professor Alex Robson is an accomplished economist with over 20 years’ experience in academia, adviser to a prime minister and in the private sector. He completed his first-class Honours degree at James Cook University before being awarding a master’s degree and PhD in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. He has held academic positions at the Australian National University, Griffith University and the Queensland University of Technology.
Appointed to the Productivity Commission in 2022, Professor Robson holds the position of Deputy Chair and has authored many reports on social, economic and environmental issues.
