Alejandro L. Borja received the M.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Valencia, Spain, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. From 2005 to 2006, he was with the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K., and from 2007 to 2008, he was with the Université de Lille 1, Lille, France.
Since 2009, he has been with the Universidad de Castilla–La Mancha (UCLM), Albacete, Spain, where he is currently a Full Professor. He has authored or coauthored more than 120 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings. Prof. Borja is the founder and head of the Applied Electronics, Data Processing, IoT, and Advanced Communications (EPIC) Research Group (https://www.uclm.es/grupos/epic).
His current research interests include signal processing, artificial intelligence, communication components, and reconfigurable RF and microwave devices. Prof. Borja has been an active contributor to the scientific community, serving as reviewer, guest editor, and associate editor for several international journals and conferences.
