Alberto Ruiz-Ariza

Alberto Ruiz-Ariza is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences at the University of Jaén (Spain). Besides, he is active researcher of the Research Group HUM-943: Physical Activity Applied to Education and Health (AFAES) (https://grupoafaes.com/) and promoter/manager of the knowledge-based company: AREA-D2 Educational Projects (www.aread2.es).

He has obtained several contracts and individual awards for scientific research and has participated as a researcher and main researcher in several funded Teaching Innovation Projects, as well as in R&D&I projects. He has published several articles in Q1 JCR/SJR, as well as books and book chapters in referent educational publishers. He has presented invited conferences in national and international events of recognized prestige, and he has received some competitive grants for international stays and for international teaching. He has directed and directs international doctoral theses and has been member of degree, master, doctoral thesis and lecturer tribunals. Moreover, he is guest editor and associate editor, as well as scientific reviewer of JCR/SJR journals in his area of knowledge.

His main lines of research focus on: 1) Effects of physical activity in young people. 2) Didactic innovation programs and teacher training for the promotion of learning and the integral health of schoolchildren (physical, cognitive-psychological, social and emotional). 3) Teaching methodologies, parenting styles, and physical activity in young people with diverse characteristics. 4) New technologies applied to education and Physical Education.
