Alberto Caracciolo

Alberto Caracciolo is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Iceland. He completed his PhD in Iceland in 2021 and continued there as a postdoc until 2024, working on the Reykjanes eruptions. He then spent time as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Perugia, working on La Palma, before returning to Iceland in 2026. His research interests span volcanology, geochemistry and petrology, with a focus on understanding active volcanoes.
