Dr Aish Ravi is a Lecturer in Health and Physical Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Previously, she held a lecturing position at Monash University and has been a Research Fellow at both the University of Melbourne and Deakin University. She has also worked as an Instructor at Louisiana State University (LSU) in the United States, where she contributed to developing coaching resources for students, and regularly collaborates with international colleagues across the globe. She is the founder of the Women's Coaching Association an organisation aimed at educating local councils and sporting clubs on ways to foster gender equality and inclusive practices. Her research focuses on the lived experiences of women football coaches, racial literacy, and developing effective anti-racism approaches in community sport. She has consulted and partnered with several government bodies, including the Victorian State Government and the Australian Sports Commission. She is a Member of the Football Australia Women's Council and serves on the Football Coaches Australia executive committee. She is the recipient of the Monash University Faculty of Education Dean's Award for Excellence in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (2023). Her PhD in Coach Education was completed at Monash University in 2023. She also holds a Master of Teaching (Secondary) in Business and Economics and a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, both from Monash University.
