Dr Aimee Brownbill is an Honorary Fellow in The University of Queensland School of Communications and Arts and Senior Policy and Research Advisor at the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE).
Aimee has a PhD in Public Health and has contributed to collaborative applied research projects across the topics of unhealthy food and sugar-sweetened beverages, alcohol and tobacco control. Much of her research has focused on the influence of commercial marketing practices on health and wellbeing. Her PhD thesis explored the influence of health-related marketing on consumer perceptions of non-alcoholic beverages.
Aimee’s current work addresses digital marketing by harmful industries such as alcohol, gambling and highly processed unhealthy foods, and explores potential avenues for regulation.
