Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim is a Senior Lecturer in the Computer and Security discipline at Edith Cowan University’s School of Science. He holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honors (2005), a Master of Computer Security (2008), and a Doctor of Philosophy (2016). He was awarded the AusAID Leadership Award in 2007 and the prestigious Endeavour Postgraduate Award (PhD) in 2012.
Dr. Ibrahim’s research areas include Critical Infrastructure Security, Cybersecurity Education, and Cybersecurity Risk in Organisations. He supervises several PhD students in these areas, who are addressing advanced cybersecurity challenges.
His research has been widely recognised through numerous publications, including book chapters, peer-reviewed journal articles, and presentations at prestigious international forums. He has also successfully secured external research grants from the Government of Western Australia and through international partnerships.
