Adwoa Onuora

Adwoa Onuora is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Trent University in Ontario, Canada. She has published on critical pedagogy and educational transformation, Afro-indigenous epistemologies, as well as the intersection and impact of gender, sexuality/sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, class, abilities, and culture on Black women’s lived experiences. Her areas of interests and specialization include Health Equity and Social Justice, Black feminist theories, Black/African Diaspora 2SLGBTQ+ issues, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Social Reproduction, Care Policies and the Care Economy.
