Dr Adrian Paterson is Lecturer in English at University of Galway (formerly the National University of Ireland, Galway), currently Director of Final Year English, formerly Director of Graduate Research in the discipline and Chair of the Humanities Research Committee. A double graduate of Worcester College, Oxford, and Trinity College, Dublin, recipient of Research Fellowships from the Irish Research Council (IRC), Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and Harry Ransom Center, University of Texas at Austin, he writes widely on eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth century literature from broadsides to broadcasts and poems to pianos, with particular focus in modernism and Irish literature, examining interplays of discourse, sound, print, performance, music, the visual arts, and technology in the material and immaterial forms of texts.
