Ademola Adesokan

Ademola Adesokan is a postdoctoral research associate and AI scientist passionate about leveraging machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and large language models (LLMs) to solve real-world societal challenges. His research focuses on applying artificial intelligence to enhance situational awareness in disaster management, emergency response, and misinformation detection, primarily through analyzing unstructured textual data like social media posts.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he was the first recipient of the prestigious Kummer Doctoral Achievement Award, completing his degree in just 2.5 years. Ademola has published multiple peer-reviewed papers and led an NSF I-Corps award-winning project that improves firefighter response times. With strong technical expertise in AI, NLP, and data science, he is also deeply committed to research translation, public interest technology, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
