Adam Ruch a lecturer at Curtin University in the Digital and Social Media area. His teaching and research focuses on digital game studies and online socialisation and culture.

He also holds an M.Ed. that focused on pedagogy and assessment in higher education. This work combined his interest in game design and motivations around play with situated and project-based learning.

He has held departmental leadership positions at production-oriented media colleges in Sydney and the San Francisco Bay area, before returning recently to the public university sector in Perth, WA.
