- Assistant Professor of Information Systems, Kennesaw State University
I worked in industry for 10 years before becoming fully dedicated to being a college professor. My background is in software development and database administration. I worked for a company for five years and ran my own consulting company for five years after that developing eCommerce solutions for businesses. While working for a company, I was part of many large scale development projects, such as the Enterprise Data Warehouse, ERP system, Decision Support System, Inventory Management System, and more.
I have a long history work work in AI dating back to 2003 where I helped developed algorithms using regression analysis to determine probabilities for our online recommender systems. Systems such as this later became known as Machine Learning, and provided the foundation to recommend products to customers based on their shopping and viewing habits.
As an academic, I research emerging technologies with AI always at the center of my interest. I have taken professional developing courses on Python and Machine Learning in 2017 and 2019 to get up to date on the newest trends at that time. I have been working on AI related research topics and applying these concepts in my classes since 2015.
