Happy Easter my friends! I hope that you have a wonderful day.

Have a great day!

Good afternoon! I am getting a slow start today, not because I stayed up until midnight but because I am savoring the last day of my stay-cation. This year although we skipped our yearly December trip to Paris/Argentina it felt as if we missed enjoying the Christmas season. So my husband and I decided that…

I have been in Paris for the last week, a short trip before the holidays to take in the sights, a few exhibitions and of course to eat and shop. As I am trying to catch up today with my mail, picking up my pup and all of the other things one has to take care…

Have a great day friends, thank you for spending part of your day with me. Don’t forget you can also find Pinecones and Acorns on most social media sites, Facebook Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Or you can subscribe to the blog and get the posts in your mailbox. You may also enjoy: merry christmas friends. You may also enjoy:…

Good morning! I am taking the day off to enjoy the tiny bit of sun and nice weather that we have had the entire weekend. It was a windy, rainy crazy weekend here on the coast. We spent the entire day yesterday picking up the limbs, yard debris and mess left from all of the…

This post contains affiliate links. Good morning friends, how was your weekend? It was a blissfully quiet weekend here, just what I needed. I’ve been burning the candle at both ends as they say and I wore myself out. Yesterday was the Feast of St. Nicholas, and it was fun to wake up to a…

Easter Blessings to you and your family dear Elizabeth.
A stunning morning here – sun came up and backlit the bursting Hickory buds outside the bedroom window – and the world seemed almost normal for a few minutes. I walked down to pick up the newspaper for Bob and really felt Spring in the clear, brilliant air. The grass is thick and lush and I had fond memories of the Easter egg hunts we used to do for the children and then grandchildren on April mornings such as this, all seems so long ago now!
Hoping to eat out in the gazebo today as it will reach 72F – just the two of us! We worked in the garden yesterday planting more azaleas, also another hydrangea (our first ‘Penny Mac’) in back. . . . . all our others are in the front garden.
So life goes on – and we, like you, are grateful for all we have during these difficult times. Hope the doggies are good. Stay well dear friend – and have a lovely day.

Mary, Easter blessings to you as well. It sounds like a beautiful morning to wake up to on Easter. I am sorry that you will not be able to be with your children and grandchildren, that is the hardest part of all of this. I am sure that you will have a beautiful dinner in your gazebo with Bob and hopefully Zoom with your family. Happy Easter. xElizabeth
