Established in 1982, the University of Botswana (UB) in Gaborone is the nation’s premier, largest, and oldest tertiary institution, with over 15,000 students. It offers diverse programs across eight faculties—including Engineering, Medicine, and Humanities—and is recognized for quality research.

The university is considered a top-tier institution for higher education in the region, offering a wide range of degrees from undergraduate to doctoral levels.
