The vision of Maasai Mara University is to be a World-Class University committed to academic excellence for development. Our Mission is to provide Quality University education through innovative teaching, research, and consultancy services for development. The University has six schools ( School of Education, School of Pure, Applied And Health Sciences, School of Business & Economics, School of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Creative Industries, School of Natural Resources, Environmental Studies and Agriculture and School of Tourism and Hospitality ) which offer market-driven programmes.

The University is a reservoir of the African culture and indigenous knowledge with the obligation of championing social, political and economic changes in the region. The University focuses on innovative teaching based on research with global collaborations with industries and other institutes. The University has specialized in the following disciplines: Business, computing, ICT, education, psychology, tourism, environmental sciences, and health sciences and research.
