Ibn Tofail University

Ibn-Tufayl University ( or UIT , Arabic : جامعة ابن طفيل ) is a Moroccan public university located in Kenitra . It has more than 85,000 students, 620 teachers and 11 establishments 1 .

It is ranked 94th in the 2016 regional ranking of Arab universities (USNews & World Report ) 2 . The name of the university was given in honour of the Andalusian philosopher , astronomer, physician, mathematician, mutazil and Sufi mystic , Ibn Tufayl .

The university has several branches and attached establishments, some of which already existed before its creation and which were subsequently attached to it:

Faculty of Sciences (or FSK ); inaugurated in 1985 [ archive ] Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences (or FLSHK); inaugurated in 1985 Faculty of Economic, Legal and Social Sciences (or FSEJSK); inaugurated in 2004 National School of Commerce and Management of Kénitra (or ENCGK); inaugurated in 2005 National School of Applied Sciences of Kénitra (or ENSAK); inaugurated in 2008 Higher School of Education and Training (or ESEFK) inaugurated in 2018 Kenitra Higher School of Technology (or ESTK); inaugurated in 2018 National Higher School of Chemistry (or ENSCK); inaugurated in 2019
